We Went Along the Beach
6.8C dull, grey, with rain forecast for later. Wind to 26 mph with gusts to 40 mph forecast to increase.
I took one small load of cleared out things to the dump this morning.
Maeve the Deerhound and I went for a walk after lunch. Runrig on the Nano (Heartland and Mara). We went up to the church then continued out along the country road to Scryne. There was a tractor by one of the barns at Craigmill farm. The driver was getting ready to hook up to a trailer load of straw bales. We turned right at Craigmill farm and went down the track to the shore road.
We walked along the cycle path towards Westhaven. The tractor passed us on the shore road, towing the trailer of bales. The digger was still in the field where the new drain is being dug. The field nearest our house has been spread with a sandy looking fertiliser mix of some sort. Hopefully it will be ploughed in soon.
We carried on along the shore road and went over the road bridge over the railway and down to the beach at Westhaven. The tide had just started to come in. We went along the beach to the fishermen's huts and came back along East Row then we crossed back over the road bridge and carried on round in a loop heading into Carnoustie and up the main road before turning along for home.
