Dog Day Afternoon

What a beautiful day it has been.  Blue sky, bright sunshine, and hot.  If only I had known it was going to be like this, I would never have booked a holiday away.  There is nothing which can beat being at home during a spell of really good weather. 

Our wee pal Scara was staying with us over the weekend until today, because of the wedding, and Rocky has enjoyed the company.  Although he has had another of his bouts of horrible colitis, and I was a bit worried about us going off tomorrow, he seems to be on the mend now. 

The two of them spent a pleasant day sunbathing, while I frantically washed, tidied, cleaned and packed. 

It is nearly 11 o'clock now, and I'm just off to have a bath etc., before trying to catch a couple of hours kip before we head for the airport.  Uncle Brian is now in situ as dog-sitter in chief for the next 10 days.  I'll be incommunicado, but will back-blip when we get back.
