Walking Along Crovie
It's been a lovely and warm day, plenty of sunshine too :) It did start raining at the back of 5 but became sunny again :)
Up early and we all had a big fried breakfast to start the day :)
After the caravan checks and chores were done, off out for more exploring. We left Banff and headed to Gardenstown. The plan was to explore the village but we ended up walking a coastal path to the village of Crovie. Back to Gardenstown after the walk and had lunch in a lovely peerie cafe called Teapot 1. Onwards again and head to Rosehearty for a look and then ended up in Fraserburgh. The Scottish Lighthouse Museum in Fraserburgh was great and what a laugh we had with the massive mirrors :)
Back to the caravan for mince and tatties and a quiet evening exploring neighbouring village, Whitehills.
The coastal walk into Crovie was a surprise to us and worth it. A peerie old fishing village with no roads through the houses, just a path along the shoreline and a few smaller lanes in between the houses. It did feel like a step back in time. Most houses sit on their gable end, similar to old Lerwick but on a smaller scale and steeper hills surrounding. This man walking along the shoreline path seemed to be a chatty character in the village, chatting with all the neighbours along his travels :) Worth a visit if you are in the area :)
