New "skills"

I cooked a nice meal for #3 daughter and husband last night. They brought some English sparking wine which was surprising good - dry and buttery. They left this morning for Prestonfields, a posh Edinburgh hotel, for 2 nights of luxury. They both work long hours and his are nights, so they really appreciate that we can have Ella and Nathaniel.

They waved them off then wanted to check their radish and carrot plants. We watered them, then looked for Brock the Badger and Mr Todd the fox in the wood. We made a camp - of course I'd not taken my camera. Ella taught Nathaniel Ring o Roses. He caught on quickly and loved falling down.

Then I taught Ella a special skill to show her mummy when she comes back - eyes rolling into back of the head. I wasn't lucky with the practice blips however so this is the best I can do.

If it is sunny again tomorrow we'll go to the beach.
