Bambi strike

I could eat a haunch of venison, and some venison stew - I'd even be happy to breakfast on deer's pulsating kidneys. Yes, Bambi strikes again. During the night she worked her way through the garden, munching the rosebuds. Mr C had erected an electric fence - however this is not so effective when not switched on. I have put the lion poo round the new roses not yet in bud. The deer don't care for rhododendrons and azaleas so they are spared.

#3 daughter and family arrive soon. It will be hectic as she and husband are only staying one night then decamping for a couple of nights in Edinburgh, while we have Ella and Nathaniel till Thursday pm. I hope it stays dry and we can get them out to the beach where they can play for hours.
