the celebrations continue...

was dropping off as i looked through my pictures of yesterday, it was gone midnight (why do i not just go to sleep!). slept til 6am, which is rubbish. usually on a monday alarm goes off, and it's a struggle to get out of bed. but, today Jubilee Holiday Monday, i'm awake at 6am, and need much more sleep than i've had.

and to top it all, the rain stops and the sun dares to come out! how dare it! after yesterdays rain. two cuppas, and then i make a start on clearing up....and it's not even 7am! started to dismantle the marquee, and had my porridge sat outside in the sun.

took down the bunting, and packed up that and some masks to take to Vics for her Jubilee street party.

on the way there, drove behind an old London bus, doing the Jubilee special! bizarrely i'd got my camera with me. so, as the bus stopped en route, i managed to park up further down the road, and wait for it. got this shot, with a single poppy at the side of Greasley Church.

dropped stuff off for Vic, her street looks brill, all ready to party.

back home and we'd decided to eat more and drink a little more at mine, so mum, li, matt, Uncle P and Auntie P came for tea. used my final union jack table cloth!

great weekend so far, and tonight i'm raising a glass (again!) to HRH. and watching the Diamond Jubilee concert at Buck House, Robbie and Sir Tom have been the highlights so far. Grace Jones has just been on, and hoola hooped her way through 'slave to the rhythm' (aged 64!)

definately going to treat myself to a Jubilee lie in tomorrow, that's at least 60 minutes longer than getting up at 6am!
