More than just plain sailing

Another magazine to add to the Royal Southampton Yacht Club's stable, and my own personal library..
The Spring edition of the magazine intended primarily for members of one of the oldest royal yacht clubs in the country, is now in the Club's publications stable.
The magazine is published twice yearly and fits in alongside two annual publications, but with a largely newsy content is brought together within an extremely tight schedule, so that its news content is not stale, yet is fully up-to-date so far as it can be.
The latest edition was delivered from the printers yesterday, so in a sense, as editor, I have been able to relax for ten days or so. Well not quite, because although all the preparation, writing and editing editorial content, assembling illustrations and pictures, is all behind us, there is just the equally important task of organising distribution to attend to.
A mailing address list has to be sorted and refined to the requirements  of the mailing programme, names and addresses listed in separate countries.
But we are ready to go. The magazines have been delivered, the mailing house is ready to embark on the actual mailing . . . and another sailing magazine full of news and information for RSYC members is complete.
Members will have this one before Easter; the next is scheduled to be in members' hands before the Southampton Boat Show in September.
