My 200th Polaroid Blipfoto

Back to Testwood Lakes on the outskirts of Southampton today to mark 200 Blipfotos.
It's the place where we began this series, and also visited for the 100th Blip.
Mind you, today was not the best day to be visiting a wildlife reserve founded on a series of lakes, with a gentle drizzle in the air and the grass and pathways decidedly wet underfoot.
But it's a favourite place of mine and there's always something of interest on the lakes with any number of sea and water birds to be counted. There are specially built hides for the serious bird watcher and photographers, and the visitor centre overlooking the main lake provides a wealth of information about the birds and other wildlife to be found there.
The walk around the main lake is just short of a mile, a useful distance to keep tabs on my periods of exercise, and relate distance walked to calories theoretically burned. Many years ago I might have chosen to take a slightly more energetic trot around the lake; these days walking pace is quite fast enough, and the fitness gurus do not rule out walking as a beneficial daily routine.
But despite the dampness in the air I could not resist a visit today because my 200th Blipfoto just had to reflect the moment I began this photograph trail.
The sight of pussy willow, the name given to the furry catkins at this time of year, silhouetted against the water of the lake, spelt a Sunday afternoon of perfect tranquility.
