Forest Features

Took a stroll in the New Forest this afternoon and this is the time of year when you can enjoy a real awakening of everything with Spring finally here.
Wherever you go in the National Park you will find plenty of picturesque spots and good opportunities for a Polaroid Blipfoto.  Mind you, even at this time of rear you need to be wary just how far off the beaten track you venture, because there are plenty of pools of water still around, and the moorland can be very wet underfoot.
Ponies and donkeys are attracted by the pools to drink, but some of the seemingly firm looking heathland can be treacherous, and boggy and it is very easy to be caught out.  The animals generally seem to manage allright, but I have heard stories of both animals and humans having to be rescued from some of the more tricky areas.
That apart you can’t beat the Forest as a national and natural treasure. This particular spot is only a couple of miles from home and is favoured walking ground by forest ramblers or dog walkers, or as simply a tranquil spot in the country.

We love it.
