Feeling good

We left Cockermouth after a leisurely breakfast with Joan, and drove to Grasmere, from where we had a great climb up to Steel Fell. From there we had a good view to Thirlmere. We continued along the ridge across some bogs on to Calf Crag. We continued on to the col between Gibson Knott and Helm Crag, but as a Michelin Star dinner at Holbeck Ghyll awaited us we descended there back to the car.

I really enjoyed the long pull up and managed the whole 20,000 plus steps, 8 miles, 200 flights of stairs (according to Firbit) and over 2,000 ft.

We have to rush back early in the morning for the next hospital appointment, but after today I'm really encouraged and just hope all the results of tests will come back positive and that the insurance company will declare me fit for skiing at the weekend.
