A slice of Lesley's life

Top of the world

Actually hardly at all once you compare the height of The Monument to almost everything around it but having climbed the stairs to the top it felt it. Very much worth it though as even on a slightly grey day the views were great.

Afterwards a walk over London Bridge, a visit to Borough Market and a walk along the river and back over the Millennium Bridge and back to St Paul's and it was lunchtime.

A more relaxed pace of an afternoon with a manicure and a very small work call for me and a dip in the pool for the troops. Into Covent Garden for dinner at Polpo and to see the show that made Anna so excited on Saturday's blip, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Lots of fun and excitement and didn't disappoint. There were lots of things I loved about it but I do feel a little sorry for it as it will always be compared to Matilda and that is frankly an impossible thing to live up to. But a fabulous evening nevertheless.

And now only one more sleep until puppy mania begins...!
