Leaving the beach

Today has so far been split roughly 50:50 still being on holiday....lie-in, hotel breakfast, walk along the beach, reading on the beach, swimming with the fishes in the sea, lunch on the beach....and travelling. By the end of the day in any time zone the ratio will have moved pretty heavily in the travelling direction. So the image fulfils the "slice" of life criteria, even if it is a little biased in the wrong direction.

But you can probably understand why I'd rather have this to look back on in my journal than an airport shot; even if it could have been the great, wander around the Tarmac and pick a plane that you hope might be going in the right direction experience of the current* Grand Cayman airport.

I'll back blip yesterday when I have access to Carl's computer and can download the underwater pictures we took using a GoPro borrowed from the hotel. And it will give me yet another excuse to pretend I'm still there.

There have been a couple of moments when we thought we'd done the wrong thing going away but there have been considerably more times that we definitely didn't think that. The place, the hotel, the people, the weather, the food were all amazing.
