I managed to go into work today, to say "Hello" to a few people, and I'm now looking forward to starting back on Friday. It's been a battle at times to get myself into a position where I feel strong enough to go back but I think the time is right, so here goes.

I've been following The Royal Visit to Lancashire all day on BBC Radio Lancashire. it is very rare indeed that Her Majesty, The Duke of Edinburgh, and The Prince of Wales all visit a place at the same time. The atmosphere sounded electric. I'm rather hoping some East Lancashire blippers will have captured the day.

Meanwhile Kenny Dalglish was sacked today as Liverpool Manager because 8th in The Premiership wasn't good enough.

Around this time last year Blackpool were relegated from The Premiership and Ian Holloway not only kept his job but retained his Hero status on the Fylde Coast.

After losing key players at the end of last season many wondered how Blackpool would fair this season. A second relegation was muted in some parts.

But Ian Holloway has not only built a new side after the deartures, they have achieved the so-called impossible again by reaching the Championship Play off final again, this time against West Ham United.

If you read the press and listen to the media it isn't worth Blackpool even getting on the coach. But Mr Holloway will like it that way. He and his players will be very quietly and very efficiently getting on with the job, just as they have all season.

This structure has been on a roundabout at the end of the M55 for some time but has never looked better than when adorned with tangerine and white. The supporters did it two years ago and have repeated it this time. As the team leave Blackpool to travel to London there will no doubt be fans on this roundabout to wave them off.

As I stood on the roundabout taking photos lots of drivers sounded their horns in approval at what has been created here.

All the flags and tee shirts carry one simle message: BELIEVE
This particular Carlisle United fan will be rooting for Blackpool on Saturday
