2014 more running needed

Late blip

I thought I had until this coming Friday to blip tthis, but I'm a few days late.

When we bought our current home we became friends with the previous owners (after he'd called me a cheeky sod for driving the price down!).

We hired a van between us and after loading up their contents and taking them to their new home, we repeated the process with our contents and moved them into what has now been our home for 20 years and 4 days.
The moving went very well that day and saved all of us a fortune in removal costs. There would probably be some legal srgument as to why we couldn't help each other out these days.

I recal the only hiccup was after the moving had been done and we were about to receive the keys. The other people's solicitor rang and told them not to do it because he hadn't received the money from our Building Society. It was somewhere between the two places.

So we all got into one car and drove to their solicitors and sat there until the money arrived. But still we couldn't have the keys. Our solicitor had to hand them over!
Their solicitor took the keys to our solicitor (2 doors up the street) and the 4 of us followed. We got the keys and all 4 of us then got back into the same car and drove back. We made a point of letting BOTH solicitors know who all 4 of us were and how ridiculous they had been. The "Key handling" fees were waived by both solicitors!

The last thing they did before leaving was to leave this note in the loft wishing us "Good luck and happiness" before signing it and dating it.
He wrote it next to the light switch, so every time we have one into the loft for the last 20 years we have seen this kind greeting.

I also got a very excited text from my nephew who spotted this on the London 2012 website
