Happy Easter

2years 170days

Happy Easter to you all! We spent a wonderfully Easter-fun filled day. The children woke reasonably early, so got stuck in with Easter crafts. They started out making their Easter bonnets, and general sticking of pieces after they'd done that. We made Easter egg shaped jellies. They did big glitter and paint Easter pictures. And mid morning, they enjoyed their first Easter egg hunt. They loved it! Katie wasnt actually very interested in chocolate for most of the day. After the egg hunt, she ate some mini eggs, and a bag of mini haribo sweeties. She was more interested in charging round on a space hopper.

The children all flopped quite readily for a nap in their beds - I think I snoozed for a while laid beside Katie too. When they got up, it was time to head up to their granny's house for a big Easter lunch. I was so proud of Katie for how she handled a house full of strangers. She sat well at the big table, troughing her weight in carrots. They all had a lot of fun playing with some new puzzles the girls had got, and then were very pleased to discover a second egg hunt.

It did reach a point where the children were clearly ready for outside time, so we took their dog Tyson for a walk to the park. The children ran madly up and down several hills. Round and round bushes. Across greens. For a long time. It did the trick though, and they arrived back at the house ready for tea, a bath and very little else!
