Forest Fog

Had to leave our cabin in the morning and headed off towards Slimbridge. It was very foggy and quite cold - complete contrast to the previous couple of days.

Slimbridge was interesting - much more ramshackle than I expected but in a good way. We wandered around the ponds and pools and spent some time in the hides. There were little egrets in the trees in one area and we saw curlews and more ducks than we could ever learn to identify. Had a lovely day and then headed back home to check up on son number two.

A lovely birthday weekend in a fantastic spot.
