Where old cameras go to die

This morning I was helping at a second-hand sale at a local shopping centre. We were selling books, clothes, toys and general bric-a-brac to raise money for the Parents' association of our local secondary school.

In amongst our donations were two cameras - one ancient and the other reasonably modern (but still a film camera). I think they will probably both end up in the bin rather than finding new homes.

Not sure how much money we raised yet but at least the sun was shining and we chatted to lots of browsing customers. I enjoyed recommending books - there were lots of old book group books in our offerings.

Good luck to those who scanned our donations for stuff worth ebaying - we've already tried it and have decided not to bother!
