Forest visitor

Another lovely day in the Forest of Dean. The wildlife around the cabin was interesting - lots of birds and squirrels (and the odd rat!). The squirrels are quite tame and will come and investigate any crumbs left out on the picnic tables.

More walking in the Forest with lots of birds to spot (including a red-legged partridge which was a first for me) and a large bird of prey (possibly a buzzard) sitting quietly in a tree nearby. A beautiful spring day.

We almost managed to walk back towards Symonds Yat from the river but ran out of steam and headed back late in the afternoon.
