Brothers Through Thick n Thin

Liam and Landon tend to fight like cats and dogs. Liam is a natural-born leader and likes to 'direct' Landon in his actions. Landon likes to oppose his direction quite strongly and in this stubbornness they are so much alike, even though they look so very different from each other. However, when lil' brother needs something, I know Liam will be there for him. One such example is tonight. Landon's been struggling with nightmares lately and didn't want to sleep in his bed alone. Liam to the rescue. He let Landon (and his favorite lion) crawl up into the second bunk with him tonight to give him comfort, even though Liam won't sleep as well as a result. Two tornadoes are now in one bed and that calls for an interesting combination. Thank you, sweet Liam.

Gary left today with the high school youth group for a winter retreat at Hume Lake. I know he'll have a fun weekend, as he always enjoys helping out and being a big kid himself. :) Tomorrow I have an early morning heading out to Palo Alto with my mom and the 3 boys for the Palo Alto Winter Turf Tournament. I'm hoping I don't get lost and end up in another state considering I'm that terrible with directions!


*Ignore that valance in the background. The cats have decided they like to eat the 'grass' on it and it is steadily getting shorter. :-/ Pretty soon my Hawaii/surf themed hula valance will turn into an ordinary one if the cats keep on snackin'.
