Our First House

Today I had to make a trip to Modesto, since that was where the closest Apple Store was. My iPhone has decided not to work correctly and people couldn't hear me, but I could hear them. It was a quick trip to the Vintage Fair Mall. My appointment was at 9:10 am and I was out of there by 9:30 with a new phone. The mic was broken, and he (the Apple "genius" as they call the tech people there) just opened up a drawer, pulled out a new phone, transferred my information, and handed me a new iPhone! I think I'm starting to become an Apple fan!

I decided that since I was in Modesto, I'd take a trip past the first home my husband and I bought together. I felt a little psycho driving by and taking a picture of someone's house with my phone, so that's why it's kind of unclear and at an angle. I didn't exactly want to stop and get a clear pic. ha ha This house has some wonderful memories. When we bought it circa 1997/early 1998 we got to pick out the lot, colors, cabinets, flooring. etc. It was very exciting for a first-time home buyer. We had our first child in that home too. Loren was born in 1998 and we continued to live in it just 2 short years. We had decided that my commuting to work and commuting to all of our church activities had become rather burdensome. Everything that we were attached to was a commute. So we made the very difficult decision to sell our new home and move back to Stockton. I still like to drive by and see it once in a while, since I have happy memories there. The next owner of that house asked our old neighbor if a little boy named Loren had lived in that house before them since his name was still written in glow-in-the-dark stars in his nursery :D
