Birthday Candles

Continuing with the old & new theme from yesterday is a photograph from an early morning birthday celebration for one of our new friends here at the complex. Happy birthday Mike! His wife makes amazing cakes and today's was no exception. What was an exception were the fancy candles used to celebrate his passing another year. Something about bright, squiggly shapes that start a day out on the right foot. The best part of the celebration was that we got a gift - leftover cake. We will be eating it tomorrow in honor of our own daughter's birthday, her 21st!
