Health & Safety hazard?!

By 5pm yesterday the elecricity was back on and the new telegraph pole was in situ - minus the aluminium finial. The workmen said they weren't allowed to replace it on the new pole as it could fall and constituted a H & S hazard! I was not happy so asked if we could have the finial. They had no interest in it so Mike removed it from the old pole which by now was in the back of a lorry. Success, it is now sitting on the trellis, at least for the time being till I can find a better place, possibly! It is going to look incongruous wherever it ends up but I don't care, I did not want it on the tip! Am I mad, probably.
A good day, busy morning followed by a splendid lunch with a friend of many years standing, a great combination. Sunshine and showers later resulting in a small rainbow - still love to see a rainbow.
A few good flims around at the moment so this evening off to the nearest cinema complex to choose one. Let you know tomorrow!
