Courgette overload

It's that time of year again! Any courgette recipes are gratefully received so when I saw River Cottage the other night I thought I would give this one 'a go'. Inevitably when I went to cut what I needed, peeping out from the plant were a couple of large escapees. They sort of lurk under the leaves and appear seemingly overnight. These 2 are destined for the rare neighbours who do not have courgette plants. Last year the village produced a booklet of recipes so desperate were we all! I must say it is very useful. These polpettes didn't look quite like Mr Fearnley-Whittingstall's, they collapsed a bit but made an absolutely delicious lunch. Next time I shall make a few adjustments, finger food this was not!
