Take to the skies.

A glorious morning, been looking forward to such a morning for some time, very nice, to use an over used word. A trip into Northallerton slow going thanks to tractor and train. Anyone who knows the town will understand that there are frequent 'hold-ups' at the crossing till the train goes through!
Beautiful weather continuing so in the afternoon went walking on the top of Sutton Bank for a change. Good to see so many people out enjoying the sun. One of the features up there is the glider station and there was a continuous display as planes towed the gliders up and out into the thermals. What a view they must have had, would have quite liked to be up there on a day like today. The view stretches way over to the Dales and Penhill was quite clear. Met a couple of American tourists and I congratulated them on visiting our beautiful county. So many miss out the 'bit' between London and Scotland!
