morning glory

finally - caught a sunrise...

i believe i did it proud this time...

i'm forever amazed at how quickly the skies change during the rising of the sun... one moment dark and somewhat mysterious - the next pinkish hues with stripes of purple... and then suddenly, an orb of gold with yellow and orange streaking across your view appears... god spares no expense in this arena.

if you're in the right place at the right time... well, be prepared for your breath to catch over and over and over -- mine did this morning. i kept gazing through the view finder and then back out making sure i was really seeing what i was seeing... hoping beyond hope i would capture it accurately. i shot so many pics it's ridiculous... but fun for sure and so very exciting. this one was the closest to what my eye observed...

a glorious explosion yet with a slight amount of mist and fog at the bottom if you look closely. i was totally captivated... in the moment, aware of the glory of god. can you feel it?
