I'm a grandmother and retired teacher from Edinburgh, Scotland. I love travel and have been a regular visitor to South India for the last 20+ years. My husband and I are both enjoying the freedom to travel more, now we've retired

I joined Blip on 1st January 2015, I take lots of pictures and like the idea of blipping making me disciplined enough to take at least one every day.
I don't have a complicated camera and am very glad that digital technology allows me both to be spontaneous and to get reasonable results.
I'm also very grateful that we live in a wonderful creation full of photographic opportunities. In my case, my blips often focus on my garden, our granddaughters, and our cat Cleo!
Thanks for looking in.
2018 update!
My journal continues to be that, a diary with pictures, some good some just ok. I love the circle of blip friends I've made over the last 3- 4 years and the supportive and friendly comments they make. Blip gives you insight into what is important in other people's day to day lives in a non intrusive way and the opportunity to share in pictures the beauty of the world around.
2020 Update, on the eve of my 6th blip anniversary, like everybody else I am looking back at 2020 with a degree of awe and shock. I got back from India at the beginning of March, just over a week before going into lockdown as a result of the Pandemic. Our daughter's wedding, originally planned for July 2020 has been postponed twice, we are now hoping for a small ceremony, regulations permitting in Spring 2021.
What a year its been, Brexit, which Scotland voted against has become horribly real. Scotland is moving closer than it ever has to independence, partly as a result of Brexit and partly down to the way the Covid 19 Pandemic had been handled.
As things stand, we are well, we are safe and we are healthy. We are entering 2021 in hope that the vaccines will be effective and that we will regain some of the freedom and choices which this year have been lost.
Be excellent to each other, blip's motto, is lived out in the interaction on its pages. My blip friends have been a liferaft in these unsettled times, thank you all for your friendship through this site. I know many of us will never meet, but some will and I look forward to that day.
I love this blip journal it gives me a discipline and a routine to find something special in everyday.
