About time I wrote something about myself, I started Blipping several years ago but not very successfully, I only lasted several weeks! Needed re-inspiring and after a talk at camera club about a photo a day felt that it was time to get Blipping again, and so glad I have, enjoying the wonderful community of fellow blippers from around the world. I am so impressed by some of the amazing images especially from photogs who have been blipping for years.

I live beside Lake Tarawera, a large lake mainly surrounded by native bush, with only a small area of housing. Mostly these are holiday homes, we are part of the small community of permanent residents. Love the busy, fun times especially during the summer and holiday weekends when the lake comes alive, and our house seems to fill with family and visitors. The rest of the year it is blissfully quiet.

The nearest town is 25 minutes away, Rotorua is a busy tourist town famous for its geothermal areas and a popular place for mountain bikers.

Here’s hoping that I continue blipping…this time!
