I have enjoyed photography for most of my life. I gave it up for over ten years, when my husband lost his sight. At that time I did not feel like taking photographs.

After I retired and when digital photography got more established, my husband encouraged me to start again. I started with a pocket camera, but when you have been used to an SLR, I was soon back using one.

I lost my husband in May 2011.

A new friend of mine told me about Blipfoto, we thought we would give it a go. I must say I am enjoying looking at the many different images and reading the many stories. I think it is a bit addictive.

I live in the West of Cornwall, which is a wonderful area for getting in touch with the natural world. Cornwall is a very special place full of the most beautiful scenery and being a peninsular, has a very dramatic coast line.  The history of Cornwall and its many towns and villages and heritage are the other aspect that makes this place very special.

These are the things I love to photograph, to try to capture the atmosphere of where I live.
