Spring Macro
Hi everybody and welcome to a new week. Once again, many thanks to all of you for your good wishes over the past few days. I am feeling a little more positive today but it is now exactly a year since I lost my job and the bank are getting a little shirty over my debts to them. I have managed to get the amount down to something within reason but there I have ground to a bit of a full stop. Even the little bit of tutorial work and the jobs putting together digital wedding albums for a small band of pros has dried up completely and I havent earnrd a crust for nearly 2 months now. Thank goodness, our house is all paid up. They can't get hold of that but I'm looking at the car and hoping that doesn't have to be disposed of just to meet other debts. Oh well, time will tell and there is at least a glimmer of hope on the horizon with a tentative promise of family support.
This morning I dug out an old screw thread lens and mounted it onto the DSLR via and adptor ring and extension bellows. This enabled me to go even further in to one of the tulips to come up with this shot.
For the technically minded the lens was a Pentax Super Takumar f2 55mm, the bellows a Pentax Auto unit and the adaptor provided by SRB Griturn, a company who are great to deal with and supply very quickly. The aperture in use here won't show in the metadata but was f16
