The Round Tower, Glendalough

Spent the afternoon today in the beautiful surrounding surroundings of the National Park in Glendalough about 30kms from home. Unfortunately I wasn't there to view or blip the sights but for a meeting of the Board of my employers. We were there to make a presentation and give a report on the progress of the project I am working on. Being only 2 days into the job I wasn't expected to say anything so I acted as the general bag man, fetching and carrying for the rest of the team.
Just before coming home I managed to bag a couple of quick blips of the famous round tower, part of the old monastic settlement which was a flourishing place of learning when the Vikings were on the rampage prior to being shown the way home at the Battle of Clontarf in 1014. That tower would have so many stories to tell if only it could speak.
I will comment on as many shots as I can but forgive me if I don't get to yours. I'm wrecked tired.
