IIII o'clock

This clock amuses me. Before this clock, I was unaware of the fact that the Roman Numeral for '4' is 'IIII'. I think there's an explanation for this other than an 'oops', but I still think it's funny.

On another good note, a friend of mine, who was supposed to be out of the country, is actually back in the U.S.! He caught me taking pictures of an alley and it was definitely a pleasant surprise. We stood at the mouth of the alley for like 20 minutes just catching up.

Today: so far, so good.








The people walking by did their best not to look at the homeless man. One lady dropped her gaze in time to meet his eyes, and then quickly turned red and glanced up at the sky as she walked quickly past. The girl had always wondered why people ignored those society deemed 'abnormal'. She had once seen similar reactions to a man who obviously had a disability. He was wearing a suit and tie, but was walking on the side of his right foot, which was turned out. People veered around him to avoid being in his path. Why did they do that?
