What's for Dinner?
"What's for Dinner?" - the dreaded text I receive daily from the roommate.
This dinner, though, is a favorite for me because it has a few of my favorite things: pasta, San Marzano crushed tomatoes, cream, and Ciroc vodka. As a waitress in college, I was introduced to Ciroc and it was my job to upsell dinner patrons into paying the extra $3 to try Ciroc in their martini. Trying to convince people that Canada snap-frost grapes could make just as good or even better a martini than the Russians was a bit of an impossible feat, but I was sold!
I subbed rotini for penne since that's what was available in our kitchen, but here is Barefoot Contessa's Penne alla Vecchia Bettola garnished with some Italian parsley and Parmesan cheese and a sliver of garlic butter toast.
Buon Appetito!
