Hearts Abound
Happy Valentine's Day!
After a weekend of beautiful sunshine, down come the rain and washed any sight of early spring out.
I was surprised today by a basket of flowers delivered during my lunch break. I love flowers - its beauty I've learned to appreciate and enjoy thanks to my lovely father. My parents aren't necessarily the affectionate type, but my dad's favored language of love is definitely flowers.
My love language? According to my dad, the way to get to my heart is through my stomach. I think there might be some truth to this as the people I'm closest to are the ones I enjoy eating with, cooking/baking for, or who cook/bake for me. My expression of love this Valentine's Day is in the form of heart-shaped sugar cookies and brown-velvet whoopie pies.
I first introduced pumpkin whoopie pies to my circle of friends last fall and it became an instant hit due to its moist texture and sweet filling. These little chocolate hearts were piped out with love and hopefully will be enjoyed by many this coming week.
Hoping your hearts are filled with love and that you're able to pour some out to those around you~
Happy Monday! :)
This is real love - not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us. - 1 John 4:10-12
