Ageless Transport

Out for a quick blip tonight as I'm working till 8.30pm. I saw this women riding this old bike down the Boulevard. Its lovely to see people riding these old bikes still. In a place like Christchurch, being so flat, a bike like this is perfectly adequate as a means of transport.

It got me thinking.......

Will we still be riding a bike in 50 years time or will it be that we have become so reliant on motor vehicles that the bike will more or less run its course. I hope not.
