Charge

The child must know that he is a miracle, that since the beginning of the world there hasn't been, and until the end of the world there will not be, another child like him. Pablo Casals

"Charge" is exactly what Katie has done for much of the day. She has been exceptionally full of it today. She loved gymnastics, and a huge part of that was that her avabobbins was back and she was delighted. She was literally bouncing on the mats and wanting me to do all the tumbling, splatting and twirling possible with her onto the crash mats. A little tumbler in the making I think. Her teacher was laughing at her expression as we played - she was totally giddy. My favourite bit though was when ava's mum said the word 'bargain' and Katie copied very proudly!

We went to soft play afterwards and Katie ate a huge sandwich, a box of (someone elses) raisins, a handful of mini crackers and then charged round the room. She hurled herself at great speed up the slide, down the slide, through tunnels, stood in the middle of the pit bouncing. She was bonkers, all morning.

We had lunch with little friend Grace and they were both being really nice to each other, sharing books, doing a bit of eating too! She had a good sleep in the car before we went back for her swimming lesson. She was not impressed when instead of taking her straight to the pool I stopped at the loo, took her swimbands and stood at the door banging. She was desperate as always to get in the pool, and as we were waiting, she sat on the divide between both pools and turned herself round, ready to wriggling into the big pool.

We have a friend staying with us for a few days. It was quite amusing as half way through Katie's swimming lesson, she appeared to remember that she'd seen Sarah before and suddenly started waving excitedly at the window. 0Katie was on good form this evening too, performing for someone different. . She ate a good tea, bounced around some more and then completely flaked by 6.45!
