Bubbles- whoosh

15 months 6 days

We had a lovely day, our little friend Emma joined us today for our adventures and we spent it with another friend Heidi and her mummy too. We started off at Montessori, for a messy play session along with the usual toys etc. Katie wasn't impressed by the sand but was intrigued by the cornflour, which mummy loved.

After Monty's, I'd expected my little early riser to fall asleep in the car but she was too excited to have Emma next to her, so fought it. We got to Heidi's house and the three girls terrorised their cats for a while. Katie came and got me, and took me to their stair gate, pointed to where the cat had run to and said 'gone up'. She wasn't impressed.

They all ate a fantastic lunch. Katie had a big bowl of soup to start, with some cheese, then tortellini in tomato and basil sauce, which she loved and then yogurt. Which is brilliant for her, as sometimes she can be a bit funny about eating with other people, even though we do it often.

We went then to a different childrens centre, for their messy play session. Katie loved playing in the tray of spray soap and the water tray. But what she really loved was that their sensory room was open. Everytime she saw it was empty, she ran in and stood dancing at each piece of equipment. As she was stood at this one, she said 'bubbles whoosh'. The nursery nurse was sat beside me and said 'did she just say bubbles whoosh?'. My little girl is quite dinky - she surprises a lot of people when she races off or comes out with proper words and occasional mini sentences.

All that fun caught up eventually though and after an hour, she fell asleep in my arms to the noise of the bubble tubes. So I took the girls home and Katie and I came to our house. After her sleep, she woke up full of bouncy, giggling toddler joy. I loved it.
