Cat-cat

Katie's been in a jolly good mood all day today. We got up at 6.45, a totally acceptable time these days, although she spent a lot of the night in with me. We went to have a look in a couple of shops but went a more scenic route to the quickest way and discovered this kitten on the way. I think the cat was as taken with Katie as she was with her. The cat rolled on the floor waiting for Katie to tickle its tummy, was totally calm when Katie held her tail. They played together for a good ten minutes. I'm pretty certain this cat lives with children!

Eventually I said to Katie 'shall we go see the ducks' (that we had set off originally to see!) and she had such a dilemma. There was a physical battle going on - she would turn to head for the ducks but turn back to the cat, turn to head away, turn back.

She picked a little toy phone in the shop to play with and a few little bits for my niece that is due in March, and wandered round the shop pulling a little wooden pull along giraffe (although that was returned to the shelf!) We did a couple of jobs and headed home. She ate a huge lunch, ran around like a crazy person for a while before it was sleep time. I put her in her cot and she just flopped to sleep!

When she woke we went for a drink and run round at the play cafe before coming home for a play. She was having a great time with her doll today, putting her nappy on and off, putting a coat on. At one point, the doll was laid on a cushion, so Katie made herself a bed out of a cushion and snuggled down next to her. She's been so cuddly and kissy today, just running up for huge hugs and kisses, and giving her toys huge hugs too.

She ate a brilliant tea and also drank a good cup of cows milk, a new development. She was eating a little orange for pudding when daft as a brush little darling she is, decided it would be amusing to balance it. She then had another bouncy half hour, begging to be tickled and roll around, playing all fall down and just being bonkers. She had a quick bath as she suddenly flagged, before a quiet mummy snuggle, followed rapidly by bed!
