Cheeky smiles

We've had a lovely day, it's felt busy but happy busy. We went to collect our little friend Emma and took her with us to Montessori. We weren't early but we were the very first to arrive. The girls ran straight for the painting table. Katie's really enjoying painting now, she's got the hang of dipping the brush in the pot and swiping it over the paper, getting more paint and doing it again. And doesnt even put the brush in her mouth anymore. She also rather enjoys the washing up bowl for cleaning up. They'd got the dolls and prams out this week too so she spent the session going between painting and the dolls, with a quick go in the swing of course. At song time, she didnt just sit with me to do them, she went into the middle with the bigger kids and joined in. It's lovely watching her confidence at these places grow and see her come on.

We dropped emma off and helped her mum get rid of some more stuff, then went home ourselves. Katie curled up into my shoulder as I carried her into the house so I put her straight to bed.

After her dinner, we walked to the library. I spent a bit of time printing some forms I needed (madam has rendered my printer non-functioning) She spent a lovely hour and a half flitting between colouring, playing on the rocking dragon, jumping on a lifesize crocodile cushion, and playing chase with the ladies there - oh and reading a few books! She was at her cheekiest, with full charming smiles to accompany it - she had them in the palm of hand and knew it!

This evening she was watching Dance with the Teletubbies and copying every single thing they did in one of the dances, she thought she was hilarious. At bathtime, whilst it was running, she found her tub of threading beads, little wooden animals in different colours, and rather than just hurl them over the floor and putting them in and out the box, she let me show her how to thread them and then spent 20 minutes doing it herself, over and over.
