buggy day :(

I have had a good day today but I think poor Amelie is a little sick of being in the buggy/car seat (I forgot to take the sling with me). Louise picked us up at 10.30 and we headed out shopping. We had lunch and Amelie enjoyed that - she has toast and philly cheese but decided that my baked potato and cottage cheese with chives was far more appetising. So she had some of that and some rasins and crisps. Whenever we go anywhere she seems to attract a lot of random people (usually cleaners, strangely) so we had lots of table guests smiling and chatting to her! After lunch we shopped some more (even though the shopping was 68% for the girls they weren't that happy with it) and they eventually fell asleep. We then went to meet Chris in Mothercare as we were picking up the car seat. In the end we opted for the Maxi Cosi Tobi. Fitting it into the car properly tomorrow - can't wait to see her little face when she realises she doesn't have to face the seat anymore!!! Lets hope she likes it, Chris and I then headed down to Worthing to see his cousin who cuts his hair. Amelie was very frustrated in the shop as she wasn't allowed to crawl around incase of hair splinters, but she had a bit of fun on a spinny chair and standing at the window smiling to passers by. It upset me a little that hardly anyone paid her any attention and there she was grinning like mad at them. Some people eh? Anyway after that we headed back to the car and home but traffic was bad and it took over an hour...meaning that Amelie was an hour and a half late in having her dinner and didn't go down to sleep until 8ish. She was just lying wide awake as she did last night. I think its teething related as she was a bit whingy this evening too. I had a wee feel of her gums earlier and although she hates this and won't let me do it properly, I am sure I felt something at the top. Not one of the front ones but one of the side ones! I know that this can happen but I can't be sure untill I feel it again. Maybe it was just a rogue crumb! She's cottoned on to my tactics though and even when I turn her upside down and wiggle her about, her mouth remains firmly shut...
