it is a tooth!
I had another photo for today but how could I resist this new sleepsuit shot?
Checked Amelie's mouth again this morning - it is a tooth! Its not one of the top two, but the side one on the left as you look at it. Hurrah!
We have been fairly busy again today. It's baby group day and the time has been changed since last term so we were in a bit of a rush to get ready. It was quiet to begin with and Amelie was very clingy..I tried to encourage her into a tunnel that led into a tent with plastic balls but she wasn't having any of it. She clung on for a while and then ventured off with two walking boys. Bless her, she is a fast crawler but struggling to keep up with them! The problem is - they toddle over to something, she expends lots of energy trying to crawl there quickly and then they move on and leave her behind! She didn't let it get it down and just seemed to enjoy being in a big space where she could roam free. She played quite happily for about an hour and then she had some milk. She played on the playmats afterwards, rather than in the big space around, but there were so many tiny new babies I was nervous again. Especially when she spotted them and kept attempting to crawl quickly towards them. When I tried to pick her up and take her elsewhere she didn't like it one bit and proceeded to kick her legs madly and scream. This happened quite a few times especially after she moved on from tiny babies to other bigger babies and was pulling their hair. I was really embarrassed! But more embarrassed by the mini tantrums afterwards. She isn't normally like that when we are out although I must admit she doesn't like being prevented from doing something. We had missed a naptime too so I don't suppose that helped the situation. I distracted her with the tunnel and this time she crawled all the way through, and back again, and back again, and back again...
After baby group we headed into Crawley again to sort some stuff from yesterday and Amelie got to try out her new car seat! She didn't even seem to notice at first but when we were almost there she got really excited and starting kicking her legs and smiling and chatting away to us because she could see us! I'm glad she likes it. She fell asleep in the sling whilst we were out but just had a quick nap.
It didn't take as long to settle her down tonight as it did the past two nights. We ate our tea whilst she was having her bottle. The little monkey kept trying to grab haggis from my plate instead of drinking her milk. Not the best time to eat I must admit but we were starving and envisioned 2 hours of getting to sleep.
She did try a morsel of haggis but spat it out straight away...Lets hope its a grower...
