Day 6: Freeport, Bahamas
In Freeport, we decided to go on an excursion. The excursion we chose to go on was a glass bottom boat tour. So basically, we decided that while docked to land, we would go from our big boat to a smaller boat, probably because we hadn't gotten enough sea time as it was :) At first, the "glass bottom" boat was a disappointment. "Six glass windows on the bottom of the boat" would have been a more appropriate name. Getting past the false advertising, it was still a fun trip and it was exciting to see the fishies swimming under the boat. First, they brought us to a coral reef and let us feed the fish. Then, we went to the site of a ship wreck and saw SHARKS. The previous days had been windy, and day 6 was no exception. Throughout the boat ride, the waves had been strong and the boat rocky. Of course, while we were peering down at the large, gray reef sharks, the waves decided to be extra nasty and the boat was tipping side to side at a 45 degree angle, at the very least. We all clung to the railings in fear and I saw my life flashing before my eyes. This was also when the captain of the boat thought it would be a good time to feed the sharks. So, while clinging for my life, I managed to snap a picture of the sharks fighting for the prize.
