Evidence
One from a hastily arranged blipbank today. A dull, dreary day - but at least warmer than of late.
This is some bark that Katherine found falling off a tree in our garden. We suppose the hair is from a wild boar... We've had a lot of damage in the garden from them in previous years - I think we had something very tasty lurking under one of the lawns - but they've not bothered us since the electric fence went up! It's off at the moment (broken and I would probably be kind and turn it off anyway with the kids running about) so they can come and go as they please. We've not seen one yet, though I have heard some boar like noises in the evening.
I've told the kids to make plenty of noise when they're playing in the woods - I've heard that boar are only likely to charge if they come upon you unawares and get a fright. Happily, being noisy is not generally a problem for my two.
