Sgwarnog: In the Field

Bradford Pagoda

Today's lunchtime stroll took me off campus toward Little Horton. I can see the tall spire of All Saints Church from my office, and a few months ago I watched the daily progress of scaffolding being erected around it. This is part of a £170,000 restoration project.

It was only when I was lining this up as a picture that it struck me how the spire now resembled a pagoda - like this one - particularly when stripped of its context.

I've put up another image here which gives a full view of the church and scaffolded spire.
