Daredevil

We've had a busy but great day. We started off going to tea and toast for our little friend emma's 2nd birthday. She was very excited to have her own little monkey from Katie! We had a quick drink and rushed back home to meet our friend who was arriving.

We drove into the city and went to Monkey Bizness. Katie was absolutely hyper. She must have done a dozen laps of the place- and it's big!! She went up all the toddler stuff by herself and went down the steep slide all on her own. I took her up the big climbing bits and she was doing really well at climbing down everything - she mastered turning round and lowering herself down the stairs a while ago, but now she does it on soft play/sofas/anything she can climb on. And today she was climbing down steps taller than her.

We then went for lunch in the tesco's cafe and she ate quite well actually, she doesnt often eat that much when we're out and about. We did some shopping, got some nice treat bits as we'd been given some spending 'for frivolous things'. As we were at the checkout, the lady said bye to Katie and Katie waved, as she does, and started saying 'bye bye'. She then waved and said bye bye to everyone that we passed as we left!

Katie was zonked after that. We had to stop at a couple more places and she was so tired she even let me move her from her car seat to the buggy, which almost never happens

We have been given a new dvd player, as ours was dead so now we are finally able to watch the dvd of Katie's first year - it's a combination of photo montages, video and the monthly updates from blip, with some fantastic music - a friend put all the bits together for me, and did this final edit so it's the first time i've seen it! I'll not confess how many times I've cried so far. Katie kept running up to the early Katie bits and saying 'baba', and dancing to the jumperoo music! I'm chuffed to bits with it.
