......fade to grey........

This image hasn't been enhanced or doctored in any way, this is what the world looked like at 10.30 this morning......monochrome. I rarely alter my photos, maybe the odd crop, sometimes a tweak of the brightness or colour, but today I wanted a shot of what it's been like here for the last two days..........grey, damp and cold.

The beautiful white snow that lay for over a week and glistened with frost every night is now dirty and slushy. The pavements are like skating rinks but at least the roads are clear.

The North East is exactly the same and the huge snowfall didn't materialise so we could have gone to see the dad's yesterday and been home tonight without any problem, instead we have to go on Sunday/Monday and so finish the holiday with a poor nights sleep on Sunday and a long drive back home in the dark on Monday.

I'm thinking party friday night, so many of our friends have nothing planned that maybe I should just knock up a huge Chilli and maybe a pineapple torte for a desert and just call everyone and see if they want to come over and drink my vodka and JD.

You're all invited if you're not doing anything else! As long as you can drink vodka the Russian way....make a flowery toast then down in one (repeated several times). You'll also need to learn
