Morning after Christmas in New Mexico

I stayed up late to post my Christmas blip. Even so, I awoke at the usual early time. I dallied in bed long enough to miss the most intense sunrise colors, but then put on a warm robe and slipped out into the silence. A beautiful sunrise just in the last moments.

Back in the bedroom, Joseph asked "Are you up?" "Not yet." Next thing I knew it was 11 AM! I was more exhausted than I thought. I haven't slept that late in many years.

Tomorrow we are headed for snowy Colorado to do some nordic skiing and soak in the hot springs. It will be a few days before I can post any photos, but have no fear. I will still be taking pictures on the trails with my trusty point-and-shoot camera in my pocket. I am gaining respect for how much this little Canon can do the more I use it.
