Golden Balls

Christmas can start now that we are all together. Made my gravy stock and cranberry sauce today. Brought out the Christmas tablecloth for No.1 Boy to iron - he has missed us really. Wrapped some presents and sung loudly to myself.

Kids still at school. That seems harsh as there is no time for them to get over excited, although they are doing quite a good job.

We have 3 hospital appointments this week, all routine, but still - not the best week. One down, one tomorrow and then Thursday. Mum phoned to say a 4th has cropped up so I will have visited all of Edinburgh's hospitals come Thursday. Ho, Ho, Ho!

Nipped out for a coffee with No. 1 boy as a reward for all his efforts. He does love a coffee. I saw this lavish outdoor adornment and loved the light and texture in it. Made me feel more fairy than humbug.

I know about 5 people who have birthdays today. Ones to mention are Katherine who is 18 and Raymond who is 50. We did suggest a joint party but the idea didn't go down so well. Happy Birthday to all - celebrate in style.
