Damaged

I decided today to have a go at digging my car out from it's cold and icy home today with the thought that we'd be going out in it over the next day or so to use up our day's off we'd booked off.
How wrong was I!

S is sick (not in the mind!) so has been cooped up all day. I thought I should make a head start on the snow that was piling up outside. That and the fact I was tired of getting wet trousers from all snow that is hanging about.
I headed out, headphones plugged in for a bit of snow digging. It was quite a producting time with a column cut out of the snow to get the car out.
When done I came inside, removed the layers of clothes, hat and shoes and sat down. It was only then I looked at my hands to find I had a huge blister on my hand that at some point burst!
So I have a rather nasty open sore on my left thumb. Soothed by this rather magical ointment we bought in the USA.
