Black Friday

Great day today!

Watched a bit of the Macy's parade that started right in front of our hotel . Then we started off the AM with a cappuccino at Stumptown Coffee, breakfast at Kenny & Zuke's (just because we were hungry and it was right next to the coffee shop). After a wonderful breakfast, we were off to do a little browsing. Jer bought me an amazing jacket and scarf at Radish Underground, a cute little store near the hotel we were staying at.

After some walking around, our feet needed a little rest, so we went for some beers at Henry's (again), and I had a wonderful winter ale. Then we went for lunch at Sushi Land, then off to do a bit more window shopping. Stopped in to Cupcake Jones for a cupcake (didn't like mine so Jer graciously at it for me). I have to say that I don't think they even come close to Cupcake Royale's cupcakes (but I'm probably biased). After some more walking around, stopped off for another cappuccino at Barista.

Back to the hotel room for a rest before dinner. A trip to Portland wouldn't be complete without a trip to Powells - one of the largest bookstores around. Couldn't decide what to do for dinner, and ended up at Jake's Famous Crawfish for happy hour. After our very late dinner, capped off the evening by watching Funny People.

You know what's crazy??? Today there was a bomb plot that occurred during the Christmas Tree lighting (2 blocks from where we were staying), and the last time we were in Portland on May 1st, we heard about the bomb plot that occurred in Times Square. Maybe we should stay away from Portland for the sake of public security....
