Beautiful soup

After a very cold and misty day I got home to the yummy smell of home cooking. I walked in and to my surprise (and a nice one at that) I was greeted with a lovely bowl of hot homemade pumpkin soup. A close friend of mine donated an enormous pumpkin to us last month and I haven't managed to do anything with it yet. So, pumpkin soup was today's offering. I think tonight is roasted pumpkin wedges and I shall be making pumpkin cupcakes for a tea party on Thursday and then we shall see how much is still left after that. Otherwise, it may be more pumpkin soup, which judging from tonight's dinner will be rather tasty.
